Darts pays off…..

At present I have nearly completed “Advertising Today” and I am beginning to use some of the quotes that I have obtained in my dissertation. I am travelling back to Bournemouth on Wednesday and I hope to have completed the book by then as i only have just over 100 pages left to finish. I am also hoping that I will be able to write the dissertation a great deal better back in Bournemouth as i will not have as many distractions, as i have the house to myself until Saturday.

By the time we begin University again on the 14th of Jan I hope to have also completed “No Logo” by Naomi Klein as this book directly contradicts the views argued in “On Brand” by Wally Olins. This I feel will be benefitical to my arguement for my dissertation and will also hopefully be a good and interesting read. Also by the 14th i will endeavour to complete “Guerilla Marketing” by Jay Conrad Levinson as again i feel that it will be of great help to me in constructing an effective arguement.

Additionally having worked over the Christmas period i now have the money to purchase some of the books that are not avaliable in the University library, those being:

Advertising Is Dead: Long Live Advertising! : Over 200 Inspiring Campaigns for the New Marketplace
by Tom Himpe (Author)

The System of Objects (Radical Thinkers)
by Jean Baudrillard (Author)

Guerrilla Advertising: Unconventional Brand Communication
by Ty Montague (Foreword), et al.

Also having read prevous dissertations i feel that i would like to include a number of interviews in my final essay. Mainly as I feel that questions that i will be able to ask the interviewees will hep me to construct a more rounded arguement. I am going to make a short list of candidates for the interview and hopefully contact them via email and ask if they are interested in participating.

But now im off to do some Brain Training and Darts!
